After playing The Lightyears CD for all my friends incessantly since receiving it, there is a bit of a disagreement on the meaning of a song.
In Another Lovely Day, we all originally thought the last line was:
My girlfriend And my best friend Lying on the floor….. do I need to tell you more?
We all thought the poppy tune and title were meant to be ironic because we all assumed that "my best friend" was a male and she was a cheating very *friendly* person.
Then after checking the lyrics we learned it is actually:
My girlfriend And her best friend Lying on the floor….. do I need to tell you more?
Once we realized that it was "her best friend", most likely a woman, the interpretation changed a tad. Now instead it being about her cheating, some of us are thinking it truly was a "Lovely Day" cause she called to make-up and instead of "make-up sex", she surprised you with a "make-up 3some" with her best friend.
So now we can't decide who is right and if some of us just have dirty minds.

Hey, you censored the word very *friendly* person??
I wonder if it works with other naughty words? HHmmm.

While I can't vouch for whether or not you have dirty minds, you are correct that the lyrics do in fact imply some kind of saucy girl-on-girl encounter.
I'd like to be able to divulge whether or not this is based on a real-life experience, but then that would be telling.

It might be worse to let me use my imagination on that one.
